Hawkeye is not simply choosing between two bonuses: Moonlit Slash and Senbonzakura Strike push the kit toward different priorities. The better choice depends on map geometry, team composition, fight tempo, and whether the anchor partner already provides value on their own. The analysis below weighs both the base effect and Enhanced ceiling without treating a situational advantage as a universal answer.

OPTION 1

Moonlit Slash

Moonlit Slash, anchored by Cloak & Dagger, gives Hawkeye a very specific tactical route: Upgrade Crescent Slash to Moonlit Slash, projecting a radiant slash outward. It heals and boosts healing for allies, while damaging enemies and applying Vulnerability. As a Duelist, it should be judged by how consistently it converts an opening into pressure, damage, or a secured elimination. Its sustain component has value in extended fights, but loses impact when allies cannot survive the initial burst. Its control utility can create a clean focus-fire opportunity, but coordinated teammates are needed to fully convert that opening. In practice, this option is best when the composition can play around that condition and reproduce it reliably. Its weakness appears when the fight forces Hawkeye to react outside that plan, because part of the value is tied to a particular window, position, or interaction. With the Enhanced effect active, when teaming up with Cloak & Dagger, Moonlit Slash can be chained into a three-hit combo, firing off three consecutive sweeping light blades. That raises the option's ceiling, but it also means the composition with Cloak & Dagger has to justify the team slot.

Senbonzakura Strike, anchored by Psylocke, gives Hawkeye a very specific tactical route: Upgrade Blast Arrow to Psionic Arrow. While drawn, Hawkeye can continuously bank extra Psionic Arrows. Releasing the bowstring rapidly fires all accumulated arrows forward in sequence. As a Duelist, it should be judged by how consistently it converts an opening into pressure, damage, or a secured elimination. Extra mobility changes positioning and escape routes, making the option strongest when used proactively rather than as a late panic button. In practice, this option is best when the composition can play around that condition and reproduce it reliably. Its weakness appears when the fight forces Hawkeye to react outside that plan, because part of the value is tied to a particular window, position, or interaction. With the Enhanced effect active, when teaming up with Psylocke, the nocking speed for each Psionic Arrow is significantly quickened, and they explode upon hitting enemies or the environment. That raises the option's ceiling, but it also means the composition with Psylocke has to justify the team slot.
