Moon Knight is not simply choosing between two bonuses: Luminous Moon and Blood Moon push the kit toward different priorities. The better choice depends on map geometry, team composition, fight tempo, and whether the anchor partner already provides value on their own. The analysis below weighs both the base effect and Enhanced ceiling without treating a situational advantage as a universal answer.

OPTION 1

Luminous Moon

ANCHOR · Cloak & Dagger

Luminous Moon, anchored by Cloak & Dagger, gives Moon Knight a very specific tactical route: Enter Phased state and dash forward. Upon concluding, emit a Light Energy Healing Wave that heals Moon Knight and nearby allies. As a Duelist, it should be judged by how consistently it converts an opening into pressure, damage, or a secured elimination. Its sustain component has value in extended fights, but loses impact when allies cannot survive the initial burst. Extra mobility changes positioning and escape routes, making the option strongest when used proactively rather than as a late panic button. In practice, this option is best when the composition can play around that condition and reproduce it reliably. Its weakness appears when the fight forces Moon Knight to react outside that plan, because part of the value is tied to a particular window, position, or interaction. With the Enhanced effect active, when teaming up with Cloak & Dagger, the Phased state duration is extended, the dash distance increases, and the Light Energy Healing Wave boasts a larger radius and stronger healing output. That raises the option's ceiling, but it also means the composition with Cloak & Dagger has to justify the team slot.

Blood Moon, anchored by Elsa Bloodstone, gives Moon Knight a very specific tactical route: Deploy an Ankh Trap. Upon triggering, an Ankh materializes at the location, while summoning a single Talon of Khonshu to Launch enemies toward the trap’s center. As a Duelist, it should be judged by how consistently it converts an opening into pressure, damage, or a secured elimination. Its control utility can create a clean focus-fire opportunity, but coordinated teammates are needed to fully convert that opening. Area pressure makes it especially useful around objectives, doorways, and clustered teams; spread-out fights reduce that advantage. In practice, this option is best when the composition can play around that condition and reproduce it reliably. Its weakness appears when the fight forces Moon Knight to react outside that plan, because part of the value is tied to a particular window, position, or interaction. With the Enhanced effect active, when teaming up with Elsa Bloodstone, triggering the trap summons multiple Talons of Khonshu to bombard the area. That raises the option's ceiling, but it also means the composition with Elsa Bloodstone has to justify the team slot.
