Team-Up analysis
Strengths, tradeoffs, and ideal situations for each option.
Storm is not simply choosing between two bonuses: Gods of Thunder and Jaws of Fate push the kit toward different priorities. The better choice depends on map geometry, team composition, fight tempo, and whether the anchor partner already provides value on their own. The analysis below weighs both the base effect and Enhanced ceiling without treating a situational advantage as a universal answer.
OPTION 1
Gods of Thunder
ANCHOR · Thor
Gods of Thunder, anchored by Thor, gives Storm a very specific tactical route: Upgrade Wind Blade into a hitscan beam that detonates upon striking a target. As a Duelist, it should be judged by how consistently it converts an opening into pressure, damage, or a secured elimination. Area pressure makes it especially useful around objectives, doorways, and clustered teams; spread-out fights reduce that advantage. In practice, this option is best when the composition can play around that condition and reproduce it reliably. Its weakness appears when the fight forces Storm to react outside that plan, because part of the value is tied to a particular window, position, or interaction. With the Enhanced effect active, when teaming up with Thor, Bolt Rush becomes Chain Lightning, allowing it to bounce from foe to foe. That raises the option's ceiling, but it also means the composition with Thor has to justify the team slot.
OPTION 2
Jaws of Fate
ANCHOR · Jeff the Land Shark
Jaws of Fate, anchored by Jeff the Land Shark, gives Storm a very specific tactical route: Unleash a torrential downpour that continuously heals both herself and her teammates. As a Duelist, it should be judged by how consistently it converts an opening into pressure, damage, or a secured elimination. Its sustain component has value in extended fights, but loses impact when allies cannot survive the initial burst. In practice, this option is best when the composition can play around that condition and reproduce it reliably. Its weakness appears when the fight forces Storm to react outside that plan, because part of the value is tied to a particular window, position, or interaction. With the Enhanced effect active, when teaming up with Jeff the Land Shark, casting Omega Hurricane allows Jeff to swim inside the cyclone, generating a localized Jeff-nado. That raises the option's ceiling, but it also means the composition with Jeff the Land Shark has to justify the team slot.
