Human Torch is not simply choosing between two bonuses: Fiery Sparks and Storming Ignition push the kit toward different priorities. The better choice depends on map geometry, team composition, fight tempo, and whether the anchor partner already provides value on their own. The analysis below weighs both the base effect and Enhanced ceiling without treating a situational advantage as a universal answer.

OPTION 1

Fiery Sparks

Fiery Sparks, anchored by Jubilee, gives Human Torch a very specific tactical route: Passively detect enemies in the immediate vicinity and launch tracking Sparks to chip away their health. As a Duelist, it should be judged by how consistently it converts an opening into pressure, damage, or a secured elimination. Its sustain component has value in extended fights, but loses impact when allies cannot survive the initial burst. Its control utility can create a clean focus-fire opportunity, but coordinated teammates are needed to fully convert that opening. In practice, this option is best when the composition can play around that condition and reproduce it reliably. Its weakness appears when the fight forces Human Torch to react outside that plan, because part of the value is tied to a particular window, position, or interaction. With the Enhanced effect active, when teaming up with Jubilee, successfully landing a Firework Spark on an enemy grants Human Torch Bonus Health. That raises the option's ceiling, but it also means the composition with Jubilee has to justify the team slot.

Storming Ignition

Storming Ignition, anchored by Storm, gives Human Torch a very specific tactical route: Unleash a storm-driven blaze of fire forward, generating a persistent Fire Vortex upon impact that continuously damages and pulls in enemies. As a Duelist, it should be judged by how consistently it converts an opening into pressure, damage, or a secured elimination. The direct offensive payoff is easy to understand, but it is only decisive when the team can safely maintain pressure. In practice, this option is best when the composition can play around that condition and reproduce it reliably. Its weakness appears when the fight forces Human Torch to react outside that plan, because part of the value is tied to a particular window, position, or interaction. With the Enhanced effect active, when teaming up with Storm, her Omega Hurricane ignites into a Burning Hurricane if it crosses a Flame Tornado. Furthermore, any Omega Hurricane, Jeff-Nado, or Flame Tornado that sweeps across a Flame Field left by Human Torch will instantly generate a new Flame Tornado. That raises the option's ceiling, but it also means the composition with Storm has to justify the team slot.
